Fly-out to Garrett County (2G4) August 13th, 2016
by Juergen Nies
This was kind of a none announced in advance fly-out. John Ely contacted me earlier in the week asking if anyone was flying this weekend and mentioned about a fly in at Garrett County. After a quick E-mail we had John in his RV-12, Jim Lum in his Citabria and David Ames with me in the Pacer. Ralph Hoover also showed up with a friend in his RV-7A to join us.
Despite the forecast for Thunder Storms at Garrett County as well as Winchester for early afternoon the weather held up fine and it was not even bumpy going either way. The turnout was pretty good for a small airport fly in and there were also a lot of cars to look at. To beat the afternoon heat we only stayed for about two hours and hit back home.
It was a very nice fly out again and I hope we will see more of you the next time. Keep monitoring the "Upcoming Events" Tab on our Web-Page.

Who knew the gas cap on a Chevy Bel Air was behind the tail light?
I hope some more of you can make it the next time.
Make sure you look at the Upcoming Events schedule on this site for the next fly out.
